Each student is to write a paper, no more than 5-8 pages, related to the functioning of a corporate governance gatekeeper.
The gatekeeper topic is The Media
The paper should including a definition of the gatekeeper, the role of the gatekeeper, how the gatekeeper earns its revenue or receives its funding and any issues this presents, how well it seems to be performing in its role as gatekeeper, and any current issues or dilemmas related to the gatekeeper. The texts and at least 2 other good references should be included. Quality of materials used generally correlates positively with quality of a report.
